Join us in celebrating the 10th Anniversary of Sculpture Month Houston!

Since its inauguration in 2016, Sculpture Month Houston (SMH) has served as a vibrant forum for sculpture and installation art, inspiring artists to push the boundaries of spatial concepts within immersive environments.

Our flagship venue remains the striking Site Gallery at The Silos at Sawyer Yards, a decommissioned former rice silos complex. Its towering structure contains 34 cylindrical silo spaces of varying size, that has been thoughtfully transformed into dramatic art venues, providing a unique, site-specific backdrop that amplifies the power of its installation art.

The exhibitions provide a truly immersive experience as visitors are encouraged to enter the individual silos and engage directly with the art. Frequent tours and artist’s talks promote a deeper understanding of the work presented as well as educational experiences for the general public. We also provide tours and subsequent discussions for high school and college students.

The 10th Anniversary exhibition is titled Singular Visions and it honors artists who have cultivated a deeply personal vision across their oeuvre and have been substantially engaged with the poetic sensibilities of art and art making.

The exhibition is on display October 3 - November 21, 2026. Public tours will be offered every Saturday at 2pm. As part of the Anniversary Festival program, these tours will be followed by musical and other art related performances.

SIGHT
Tales From The Spitting Tree: The Dream of the Imp
This is an animatronic fever, exploring the liminal realm of the spitting tree, a place filled with monsters and mystery. This story follows a lost imp desperately searching for a safe route home… If he can make it…

SOUND
Philosophy Stone
An instrumental, improvisational post punk, stoner rock band from Houston TX. Made up of James Radcliff, Jon Read and Richard Kimball who met in the graduate painting program at the University of Houston and bonded over their love of guitar driven music and expensive dirt pedals. All have their own bizzaro punk solo projects: Jon, THE WIGGINS, James,VEXED and Rich, Distant Worker. But together they do something completely different, abandoning song structure/writing entirely, playing fuzzed out guitars over loops and an archaic drum machine, driven purely by instinct, punk rock mojo, and the belief in alchemy.
